Growing up in a family of educated doctors, Dr. Roya embraced her passion and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran back in 1997. What's truly impressive is that she not only graduated at the top of her class but also managed to raise her one-year-old daughter simultaneously.

After spending a couple of years working as a general dentist, Dr. Roya felt a strong inner pull to pursue further specialization and in 1999, she made her way back to Mashhad University, embarking on an intensive three-year orthodontic residency that she successfully completed in 2002. Impressively, she once again secured the top position in the Iranian National Dental Board Exam. For a remarkable 15 years, Dr. Roya shared her knowledge as a university professor at Qazvin University of Medical Sciences.

After immigration in 2018, she took a leap by undertaking a one-year orthodontic gap-training course at the University of Alberta and to top it all off, she aced the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) exam in 2019, officially becoming a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics again in Canada.

As an expert in all forms of braces including digital tools and 3D-printed brackets from LightForce and aligners, she is passionate about keeping up with the latest in orthodontic technology.
